Job summary

Acme Barricades in Troy, Alabama is seeking a Striping & Roadway Pavement Marking Machine Operator to perform temporary and permanent pavement marking applications on roadways. This role requires reading striping plans, operating marking equipment, and ensuring safety compliance on busy projects.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in pavement marking or traffic control and MOT Advanced certification. Competitive pay, benefits, and overtime are offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of pavement marking and Traffic Control or related industry experience (i.e. Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction)
• MOT Advanced certification

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret roadway striping plans and specifications
• Operate various types of pavement marking equipment
• Load and unload equipment and materials into and out of company trucks
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time during day or night shifts
• Assist with lane closures and set-up of traffic control devices
• Complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor
• Perform all other duties as assigned
