RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site roadway protection around live railroad tracks and coordinate job-site safety and communications. The role requires extensive travel across several states and leadership in maintaining safety protocols and efficient operations on track sites.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 20 years of experience in track inspection supervision (STI/ATS/Foreman) or RWIC role with Class I/II railroad.
• Successful completion of pre-employment and recurrent background checks and drug/alcohol testing.
• Willingness to travel extensively across multiple states and regions.

Responsabilités

• Provide required on-site roadway worker protection per rules and coordinate with dispatchers/engineers.
• Conduct daily job briefings and ensure safety requirements are followed.
• Prepare and submit electronic forms for flagging, field reports, invoices, and reports.
• Manage signs, derail, and equipment handling on-site as needed.
• Maintain ongoing communication with RWIC supervisors and managers about assignments and schedules.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace culture and adhere to policies.
