Job summary

RailPros seeks a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to provide on-site protection for activities on and around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job-site operations, dispatcher communication, and enforce on-track safety rules.

The role requires extensive travel across multiple states, strong communication, and ability to conduct daily briefings, install warning devices, and uphold safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and 20 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 20 years of experience in supervisory track inspection or RWIC roles with railroads.
• Successful completion of pre-employment and recurring background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site roadway worker protection for activities on and around live railroad tracks.
• Coordinate job site, dispatcher/train communication, and on-track safety.
• Perform daily job briefings, manage equipment and tools, and maintain safety compliance.
