Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Roadway Programs Technician 1 to assist with inventory, maintenance planning, and data review within the county transportation team. You will support daily operations, analyze work plans, and help ensure program goals are met.

Responsibilities include maintaining storeroom records in SAP, monitoring materials, processing invoices, and providing administrative support. Telework may be available after probation.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant or equivalent Federal Government title.
• One year of experience in analysis of data used for planning and scheduling work, materials, and equipment.
• An Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology, or closely related field.

This role supports daily maintenance operations and inventory activities for the county organization. It also assists in analyzing work plans, reviewing data, and helping ensure that program goals are met. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Inventory Support:Maintain storeroom records and ensure materials in the system match physical quantities on hand
• Work Plan Analysis:Review labor, material, equipment, and funding needs to help maintain balanced work plans

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Hyde. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. • Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
• An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program;or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
