Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Roadway Programs Technician 1 in Armstrong County to help plan, track, and support roadway maintenance for safe, efficient transportation. You will review plans, monitor data in SAP, supervise inventories, and coordinate field activities.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant or equivalent Federal Government job title.
• One year of experience in analysis of data used in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, or graduation from high school or GED.
• An Associate's Degree in Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work plans to confirm labor, materials, equipment, and funding align with maintenance needs.
• Review SAP data to track production units, hours, materials, and equipment usage for accuracy.
• Support material purchasing, storage, issuing, and record keeping to maintain inventory levels.
• Monitor maintenance activities and gather information to develop and refine work standards.
• Inspect guiderail or roadway damage, prepare estimates, document findings, and assist repair coordination.
• Assist with rented equipment tracking, bids, agreements, and vendor documentation.
