NC Department of Transportation is hiring Transportation Worker I for Division 10. Work includes operating tools and equipment for road maintenance, safety in work zones, and snow/ice removal. Position may require long hours in adverse weather and potential night/weekend shifts.

Applicants must meet CDL requirements, have valid NC driver’s license or be eligible to obtain one within 360 days, and pass background checks. Salary NC04 range listed. This is an extended posting through 2027.

Qualificações

• Experience operating power tools such as chainsaw, weed eater, skill saw, drill, compactor, jackhammer, etc.
• Experience performing manual labor.
• Experience inspecting and ensuring work zone safety.

Responsabilidades

• Operate standard hand tools and power equipment for maintenance and construction of roads.
• Assist in snow and ice removal and work in various weather conditions.
• Flag and assist with maintenance/repair projects using a range of vehicles and equipment.
