Qualifications

• High school education, GED or equivalent.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required for this position.
• Possession of a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) on hire date or the NC CDL must be obtained within 360 days.
• No more than two moving violations in past three years; no alcohol or drug-related offense in past five years.
• Valid NC driver’s license or eligible from adjacent state addressing vehicle class.

Responsabilités

• Operate hand tools and power equipment for road maintenance and construction.
• Inspect work and ensure work zone safety; assist with snow and ice removal.
• Flag and assist in completing maintenance projects using a range of equipment.
• Work in adverse weather; extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays; exposure to highway hazards.
