Job summary

The Ohio Department of Transportation in Champaign County is seeking permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) for a full-time role based in Urbana. Qualifications

• Class B CDL with tanker endorsement required.
• Ability to obtain CDL licensure if not already licensed.

Responsibilities

• Serve the public and work to make Ohio roads safer.
• Attend training to obtain CDL licensure if not licensed.
• Perform highway maintenance tasks: flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.
• Perform snow and ice operations.
