South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled CDL driver to operate dump and flatbed trucks for highway maintenance, ditching, paving, and debris removal. You will assist with heavier equipment, perform inspections, and help ensure safety around worksites.

Position may require extended hours, exposure to weather, and occasional emergency response. Valid CDL and ability to obtain Class A CDL within six months are required.

Formación

• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• Class A CDL to be obtained within six months of placement.

Responsabilidades

• Operate 5 yard CDL standard dump truck and flatbed truck for hauling during roadwork and repairs.
• Assist in operating heavier equipment and machinery as needed.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Flag traffic to protect workers and the public during road repairs.
• Work in varied weather conditions and extended hours as required.
• Support emergency and inclement weather operations.
