Job summary

Multnomah County's Department of Community Services Transportation Division is seeking a Maintenance Specialist 1 to join its road maintenance team. You will perform manual labor tasks to maintain drainage, roadways, vegetation, and safety, contributing to community safety and transportation infrastructure.

The role involves street cleaning, sanding, transporting materials, towing equipment, applying pavement treatments, and a wide range of other duties outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, AND
• Two years of experience in maintenance and/or road construction
• One year of truck driving experience
• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License at the time of appointment
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
