Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks and related duties under close supervision. The role requires training in routine maintenance and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, culvert work, patching pavements, storm cleanup, and sign/fence repairs. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license with clean driving records.

Qualifications

• Eye-hand coordination required.
• Ability to adapt to changing work plans and schedules.
• Physical stamina to lift moderately heavy objects and perform outdoor tasks in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
