Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance, LLC is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician in Florida to perform a range of maintenance tasks. The role involves training in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance and requires the ability to work under supervision in outdoor conditions.

Typical duties include culvert cleaning, mowing, pavement patching, storm cleanup, and equipment operation. A valid license and physical stamina are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
