Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance in Florida is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform road maintenance and related tasks under supervision. The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency in a diverse set of maintenance activities.

You will operate maintenance equipment, perform vegetation control, pothole patching, storm response, and support routine roadway upkeep while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with 3+ years clean driving.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Adapt to changing schedules/work plans.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mow and clear brush from roadsides.
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools and power tools.
