Job summary

Jeffco Road & Bridge is seeking a Streets Maintenance Worker / CDL Trainee to perform road maintenance, traffic control, and snow operations in Jefferson County. The role is 40 hours per week with full benefits and paid CDL training.

Starting pay ranges from $24.74 to $29.69 per hour, with additional Mountain Shops remote pay differential where applicable. Employment requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and eventual CDL with tanker endorsement; Flagger certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 by hire date.
• Valid Driver's License for 2 consecutive years prior to hire date; out-of-state applicants must obtain Colorado license within 30 days.
• May need Class B or A CDL with tanker endorsement and DOT medical card within 12 months of hire.
• Must obtain Flagger Certification within 3 months of hire.
• Respond to emergencies and snow removal operations 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Assist in road maintenance operations including repaving, pothole filling, crack sealing, and drainage work.
• Perform snow removal using light and heavy equipment.
• Operate equipment and hand tools as needed; conduct pre/post-trip inspections as defined by guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and request service or repairs as necessary.
• Carry out general maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor tasks.
