Job summary

The State of South Carolina’s Department of Transportation seeks a physically capable worker to perform manual labor tasks such as constructing catch basins, pouring concrete, and laying drainage pipes. Responsibilities

Perform manual labor such as building catch basins and pouring concrete for curbs and medians.
Lay pipes for driveways and drainage structures and repair shoulders and bridges.
Operate dump trucks and small equipment along right-of-way for maintenance and surface repairs.
Flag traffic during shoulder work and surface repairs to protect workers and the traveling public.
Assist in snow/ice removal, debris cleanup, and hurricane lane reversal plans.
May work outside normal hours during emergencies or inclement weather.
