State of Michigan's Department of Transportation (MDOT) seeks a Transportation Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance of state trunk-lines within the ROW, primarily in the North Region. The role may require operating heavy vehicles and being trained to use all equipment involved in standard maintenance tasks.

Entry-level to experienced personnel will be reviewed for appropriate levels, with CDL endorsement requirements and potential cross-regional duties.

Qualifications

• Requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Group A with N or X endorsement and no air brake restrictions, to be obtained within 12 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Education typically acquired through completion of high school.

Responsabilités

• Maintain state trunk-lines within the right-of-way (ROW) in the North Region.
• Operate vehicles or vehicle/trailer combinations with GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more.
• Possibly trained to operate any equipment used in maintenance operations and may perform duties from other regions as needed.
