Job summary

Delaware County, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled to semi-skilled labor on county roads, bridges, and culverts using hand and power tools, small machines, and light to medium equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of roadway maintenance experience, and a valid Ohio CDL Class B with a clean driving record. Overtime is mandatory and flexibility for short notice shifts is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates light to medium equipment for maintenance and repair of roads, bridges, and culverts.
• Transports tools, supplies, and materials to job sites as directed.
• Performs manual labor tasks such as patching potholes, sweeping, and cleaning facilities.
• Inspects and maintains signs and visibility, and assists with traffic control where needed.
• Performs snow removal and applies salt/grit when assigned.
• Provides general custodial and facility maintenance as required.
