Job summary

Berlin Township in Ohio is seeking a dependable Road Laborer (Level 1 or Level 2) to join the Road Department. The role supports maintenance of roads, bridges, culverts, and facilities using hand tools and light equipment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Ohio driver's license with CDL endorsement or willing to obtain one; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid Ohio driver’s license with CDL endorsement (or willingness to obtain).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Must remain insurable under Township insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Operates light to medium equipment for road and bridge maintenance.
• Performs manual labor such as patching roads and cleaning culverts.
• Assists with mowing, landscaping, and custodial duties as assigned.
• Maintains safety and communicates with officials and residents professionally.
