Job summary

The Union County Engineer's Office is seeking a Maintenance Worker 2 to join its team. You will operate construction equipment, perform heavy manual labor in variable weather, and help maintain roads, bridges, and public spaces.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
• One year of experience operating construction equipment.
• Ability to interpret maps and street signs and perform heavy manual labor in adverse weather.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate various motorized vehicles used in construction and maintenance.
• Perform unskilled and semiskilled labor on roads, ditches, culverts, bridges and signs.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities and assist on projects as needed.
