Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of related work experience, or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium equipment such as tandem dump trucks, large rollers (>4 tons), and skid steer loaders.
• Perform grading, concrete work (curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drives) and road/bridge maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate placement of traffic control devices/signs for work zones per SCOOT manuals.
• Engage in vegetation management using complex mowers and powered hand tools.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations; may involve extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
