Texas Department of Transportation seeks Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II/III for the Lubbock Northeast area to maintain roads and infrastructure. Expect a full-time, onsite role with opportunities for advancement and strong safety culture.

Minimum qualifications include a valid driver's license, CDL within 120 days, and willingness to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test. Equipment operation and roadway maintenance duties are core parts of daily work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license at application; ability to drive a state vehicle.
• Commercial Class A CDL required within 120 days of employment.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen for safety-sensitive role.

Responsabilités

• Identify, repair, and install signs and posts; basic welding as needed.
• Support traffic control, set up cones, signs, and barricades.
• Perform highway/maintenance work including mowing and litter removal.
• Inspect and maintain safety measures and traffic devices per standards.
• Operate light and selected heavy equipment; complete PMI and reports.
