Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation in Linden, TX is hiring Transportation Maintenance Tech I, II or III to operate and maintain equipment, perform roadway maintenance, and support public safety. Training is provided with $0 upfront, including CDL training with lodging, transportation and per-diem as needed.

Salary ranges are posted: Tech I $40,918–$61,130, Tech II $42,976–$64,469, Tech III $45,521–$71,055 yearly; benefits include retirement plans, paid leave, health premiums, and tuition

Qualifications

Experience or ability to operate light and heavy equipment.
Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Perform roadway maintenance and repairs and assist with traffic control.
Inspect and maintain highway signs, guard rails and markings.
Operate and service equipment and complete required reports.
Assist with emergencies and provide public assistance as needed.
