Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is hiring a maintenance worker to support road and bridge upkeep on the state highway system. You will operate dump trucks and light equipment, perform manual labor, and assist in vegetation and drainage tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on roads and bridges and assist with drainage, vegetation, and sign work.
• Operate 5-yard dump trucks and flatbed trucks for hauling materials.
• Flag traffic and protect workers and the public during repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections per department rules.
