Job summary

Lee Maintenance is seeking a skilled laborer to operate a Truck Mounted Road Patch Patchers and a Backhoe as part of the South Carolina highway system maintenance team. The role includes assisting in paving, patching, and traffic control in work zones.

The position requires one year of related experience or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within six months. Lifting up to 50 lbs and working outside in all weather are typical aspects.

Qualifications

• One year of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• Must obtain a Class A CDL within six months of placement in the position.
• Physical demands include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Truck Mounted Road Patch Patchers as part of road and bridge maintenance on the state highway system.
• Operate a Backhoe and assist with paving and full-depth patching of roadways and driveways.
• Assist in laying concrete pipes and coordinating placement of traffic control devices in work zones.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations; may work extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
