Job summary

Doc PersonalBeratung GmbH seeks a Road Maintenance Crew Leader to supervise a county crew performing maintenance on the state highway system in South Carolina. You will operate heavy equipment, patch roadway surfaces, clear ditches, install signs, and manage vegetation along rights-of-way.

You will instruct crew on safety, coordinate traffic control, and ensure daily logs and asset data are entered in HMMS and EAMS. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of related work experience or an acceptable equivalence.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair roads and bridges on the state highway system.
• Operate heavy equipment (grader, backhoe, dozer, excavators) as part of maintenance operations.
• Lead the crew and plan daily work schedules for maintenance tasks.
• Patch roadway bases, clean ditches, install signs, and perform vegetation management.
• Set up traffic control and ensure safety practices for work zones.
• Keep records and input data into HMMS and EAMS.
• Assist in emergency operations and be available for on-call rotations.
