Job summary

Caton Construction Group is seeking a General Laborer for a roadway project in Mecklenburg County, NC (Cornelius). The role involves physical labor, use of hand and power tools, and site preparation work.

Starting pay is negotiable and based on skills and experience. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, with 2+ years of heavy highway or site work experience preferred.

• 2+ years of heavy highway experience (roads, highways, bridges, DOT) or site work.

Responsibilities

• Performs strenuous manual labor on general or highway construction projects.
• Shovels, digs trenches, assists with material handling and storage.
• Maintains a clean and safe job site, secures equipment and reports hazards.
• Loads/unloads materials, operates or assists with equipment as needed.
• Provides support to foremen and other supervisors.
