Job summary

NV5 Engineers and Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Roadway Group Manager based in our Cary, NC office. This leadership role will manage the transportation (roadway design) staff and projects for the Charlotte and Cary offices, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, NC PE license, 15+ years in transportation engineering, and a proven track record in management and business development within the transportation market.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
North Carolina PE license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
15+ years experience in transportation engineering.
5+ years of management or 10 years of project management experience.
5+ years with business development within transportation market.
NC DOT project experience or with local municipalities/other state DOT.
Experience managing projects and leading project teams.
Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must possess or obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Establish, maintain and monitor schedules, budgets and staffing for projects.
Mentor and train employees.
Create and execute business plans for the group.
Market NV5 to NC DOT, Charlotte DOT, local municipalities and other potential clients.
Participate in professional associations and societies.
Work with Southeast Transportation Director to achieve department goals.
Complete other assignments as determined by the SE Transportation Director.
