Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Project Manager for its Transportation (Roadway) Design Group in Cary, NC. The role oversees roadway design projects, ensuring delivery aligns with client objectives, budgets, and schedules.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, QA/QC, and effective communication within the team and with external clients. Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree, NC PE license, and substantial roadway design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• NC PE License.
• 8+ years of transportation (roadway) design experience.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak/ORD.
• NCDOT project experience preferred.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
• Assist in project design and delivery while mentoring junior engineers.
• Communicate adequately with all team members.
• Manage project scope, fees, and financials, including monthly invoicing and reporting.
• Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure quality project delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate expectations.
• Communicate and manage external clients and their expectations.
