Job summary

NV5 is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join the Transportation Design Group in Charlotte, NC. You will oversee roadway design projects, manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality delivery for transportation programs.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree, NC PE license, 8+ years in roadway design, and proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak/ORD. NCDOT experience is preferred, with strong client communication skills essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
NC PE License.
8+ years of transportation (roadway) design experience.
Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak/ORD.
NCDOT project experience preferred.
Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead roadway design projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
Assist in project design and delivery while mentoring junior engineers.
Communicate adequately with all team members.
Manage project scope, fees, and financials, including monthly invoicing and reporting.
Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure quality project delivery.
Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate expectations.
Communicate and manage external clients and their expectations.
