Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Manager for the Transportation (Roadway) Design Group in Albemarle, NC. You will oversee roadway design projects, manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality delivery for transportation initiatives.

Required are a Civil Engineering degree and 8+ years of roadway design experience, with MicroStation and Geopak/ORD proficiency. NC PE license is preferred, and NC project experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• NC PE License required or in process.
• 8+ years of transportation (roadway) design experience.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak/ORD.
• NCDOT project experience preferred.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
• Assist in project design and delivery while mentoring junior engineers.
• Communicate adequately with all team members.
• Manage project scope, fees, and financials, including monthly invoicing and reporting.
• Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure quality project delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate expectations.
• Communicate and manage external clients and their expectations.
