Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CDL exam requirements within 60 days of hire and tanker endorsement, with EI or NI status.
• Medical-physical examination and a work simulation are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highways: fill joints/patch potholes, flag traffic, set up signs/cones/arrows, load/unload materials.
• Maintain/repair state highway facilities: repair signs/guardrails, clean curbs, paint buildings/equipment, service machinery.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel/equipment/materials, including plowing snow and spreading ice control materials; may use tractors and various trucks.
• May repair bridge decks/drains; work at heights with ladders/scaffolding.
• Install signs and perform sign footings, weld/cut posts, and maintain signs.
