You will perform routine maintenance tasks on state highways and facilities under supervision, with responsibilities including traffic control, signs, pavement repairs, and equipment service.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Passing grade on the written portion of the CDL exam is required prior to hire; tanker endorsement, Class B, interstate status, must be met within 60 days; driving portion must be passed.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Aufgaben

• Maintain state highway systems, including filling joints and cracks, patching potholes, flagging and directing traffic, setting up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices.
• Maintain, clean, and repair state highway facilities and assets; repair signs and guardrails; clean curbs and gutters; paint buildings and equipment; service equipment and machinery.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel and equipment; plow snow and spread ice control materials; mow right of way; operate various heavy equipment.
