Qualifications

• Knowledge of procedures, techniques and equipment in the area of assignment.
• Knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in the area of assignment.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety standards in the area of assignment.
• Ability to repair and maintain tools and equipment used.
• Ability to read manuals and specifications.
• Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to train and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance equipment and attachments.
• Mow and brush cut; clean culverts and bridges.
• Flag traffic and set up signs and barricades.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs in the field (tires, blades, filters).
• Transport fuel to equipment and maintain vehicles.
