Job summary

Consor in Austin, TX is seeking an Engineering Designer to lead portions of transportation design projects, apply engineering judgment, and mentor junior designers. You will collaborate with project engineers and managers to deliver accurate, constructible design solutions for roadway, multimodal, and intersection work.

This role requires a BS in civil engineering and an active EIT; experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil engineering is required.
• 2+ years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
• EIT certification required.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Perform advanced design calculations and ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate design activities among multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Assist project engineers and managers with quality control reviews, schedule tracking, and design deliverables.
