The internship offers exposure to design workflows, calculations, and modeling tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, with travel opportunities and a focus on learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with transportation focus preferred.
• Strong interest in roadway and transportation design.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Exposure to MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is helpful but not required.
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths, and traffic control systems.
• Support development of roadway, signing, pavement marking, and traffic signal plans.
• Help prepare calculations, estimates, and design reports.
• Conduct site visits with senior engineers to support the design process.
• Learn and apply roadway modeling tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
