Job summary

HNTB in Michigan is seeking intern engineers in ITS/Traffic, CEI, Structures and Highway to support project teams while applying your post-secondary education. You will assist with research, design, and preparing engineering drawings as assigned, gaining hands-on experience in a large infrastructure practice.

You will contribute to project tasks, organize documentation, and learn shop drawing/submittal procedures under guidance from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Understands basic engineering, geometric and algebraic principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to follow direction and organize information for drawings and documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Supports research, development and design of projects.
• Assists with preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
