Job summary

Garver is seeking a Transportation Intern - Roadway in Franklin, Tennessee to train and mentor a civil engineering student in highway design, plan preparation, and related DOT standards.

The Garver Launch Program offers hands-on development, daily interaction with industry professionals, wellness initiatives, volunteer activities, and targeted training to support your growth as a future transportation engineer within an in-office setting.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and responsible individual.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design by working with our team across transportation engineering areas.
• Become familiar with DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and utilize design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
• Work as a strong team player to contribute to Garver's roadway design team.
