Job summary

Garver's Franklin, Tennessee office is seeking a Civil Engineering student for the Transportation Intern - Roadway position. You will train and mentor as part of our Highway Transportation Team, supporting plan development for transportation projects and gaining exposure to highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage design.

This in-office internship emphasizes hands-on learning with MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster, while you collaborate with a team

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and responsible individual.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design with our team on transportation projects.
• Become familiar with DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and use design software such as MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
• Work as a strong team player to contribute to project design tasks.
