Job summary

Garver in Oklahoma City is seeking a civil engineering intern to train and mentor in roadway design. You will participate in plan preparation, learn DOT standards, and use MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.

You will join Garver Launch, a program offering mentorship, wellness initiatives, volunteer activities, and tailored training to support your development in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable and responsible individual.
  • Previous internship experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in plan preparation and design with the team, learning transportation engineering aspects including highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.
  • Familiarize with DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
  • Learn and use design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
  • collaborate with the team to become a key member of Garver's design group.
