Job summary

Garver is seeking a Transportation Intern for our Overland Park, Kansas office to assist with roadway design tasks while pursuing a civil engineering degree. You will participate in plan preparation, design exposure to highway and drainage work, and learn DOT standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication are expected. The Garver Launch Program supports networking, wellness, volunteering, and tailored training to grow your professional skills within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and responsible.
• Previous internship experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in plan preparation and design for transportation projects.
• Learn highway, drainage, and maintenance of traffic design fundamentals.
• Apply DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Collaborate with Garver Launch interns and staff.
