Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Civil Intern (Highway/Roadway) to join our transportation team in Pottsville, PA. You’ll work with experienced professionals on highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation during summer 2026.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Geopak, and 3D modeling while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment. A related degree and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D (Geopak or 3D Modeling experience a plus, but not required)
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from project sites
