Job summary

Jacobs in Yakima, WA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Roadway Design) to gain hands-on experience on large-scale infrastructure projects, assisting in roadway, highway and transit design and learning industry-standard software.

You will work with engineers and project managers, contribute to reports and designs, and develop skills in geometry, layouts, site visits, and data collection, while meeting ABET-related coursework requirements.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Completed coursework related to transportation engineering or highway design
• Must be at least a rising Junior

Responsibilities

• Helping prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Participating in site visits to observe roadway conditions and data collection processes
• Assisting in roadway geometric design calculations and layout
• Supporting the development of highway plans and estimates.
