Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Roadway Design) to join our Transportation team in Boise, ID for Summer 2027. You will assist in roadway and highway design, learn industry-standard procedures, and gain hands-on experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.

You will work with experienced engineers and project managers; CS/CE coursework is required. The role supports design of highways, intersections, and local roads and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering program enrollment or completion
• 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Rising junior status preferred

Responsibilities

• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Participate in site visits to observe roadway conditions and data collection processes
• Assist in roadway geometric design calculations and layout
• Support development of highway alignment and cross-section plans
