Job summary
ELEMENT Engineering Group seeks an experienced Roadway Group Manager to lead the Roadway Design Team in Tampa. You will guide technical direction, manage staffing, and ensure high-quality delivery of transportation projects while maintaining client service excellence.
You will act as Lead Technical Engineer and Engineer of Record for FDOT projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources, and you will mentor engineers to grow the group and expand company capabilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive roadway design experience.
- Experience leading roadway design teams and supervising engineering staff.
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record for FDOT transportation projects.
- Strong knowledge of the FDOT Design Manual (FDM) and applicable AASHTO criteria.
- Strong working knowledge of ORD and MicroStation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Tampa Roadway Design Team with technical guidance and staffing oversight.
- Serve as Lead Technical Engineer and Engineer of Record for roadway projects.
- Oversee project delivery with focus on quality, schedule, and budget.
- Monitor backlog, utilization, and staffing to support sustainable growth.
- Develop relationships with clients and lead marketing pursuits.
