Benesch in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Transportation Engineering Roadway Design Internship for Summer 2027. Students will work with a team of highway design professionals on projects involving highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation, gaining hands-on experience with design software and collaborative delivery.

Eligible candidates are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, have a strong interest in transportation engineering, and possess familiarity

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist roadway design tasks, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.
• Prepare engineering plans under supervision and with project teams.
• Gain hands-on experience with design software and collaborative project delivery.
