Job summary

Benesch is hiring a Transportation and Highway Design intern to join our Raleigh, North Carolina team this summer. You will support roadway design projects, perform traffic analyses, and assist in plan preparation under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience with engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery, while developing professional skills and contributing to real infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D (Geopak or 3D Modeling experience a plus, but not required)
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites #LI-HV1
