Job summary

RS&H in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Summer 2027 Roadway/Traffic Control Engineering Intern to support the Roadway Design Group on traditional and design-build projects. You will be mentored by senior engineers and gain hands-on transportation experience.

Responsibilities include performing basic calculations, preparing plan documents, collecting data, and utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to support project teams and ensure quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering at ABET-accredited university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong work ethic aligned with the company's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles
• Prepare and revise plan documents details
• Collect and prepare data for evaluation
• Perform engineering tasks with computer-aided design software and equipment
• Provide support to engineering and project management associates
