Job summary

GHD is seeking a Transportation Roadway Engineer to join the Highways Roads & Bridges team based out of Des Moines, IA or Golden, CO. The role involves planning, design, and project delivery on complex transportation projects within a hybrid in-office/remote model.

You will develop contract plans, use AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation, and perform geometry calculations. The position requires a BSCE and PE eligibility, with 5+ years of experience and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• BSCE or related degree required.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain PE within a reasonable time.
• Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop contract plans and specifications.
• Prepare quantities and cost estimates for projects.
• Create roadway design plans and signing/pavement marking plans.
• Utilize CAD software to prepare plans and development.
• Perform complex geometric calculations for design.
• Coordinate with clients and project team to meet requirements.
