Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. in Florida is seeking a Transportation Highway Engineer to join our growing team in Orlando or Tampa. You will design and deliver roadway projects from planning through final design and construction support.

The role emphasizes ORD work, FDOT standards, 3D corridor modeling, and coordination across disciplines. A bachelor's in civil engineering, 5+ years of roadway experience, and a PE license are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
5+ years in transportation/roadway design.
Professional Engineer license expected.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver roadway and highway projects from planning through final design and construction support.
Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, superelevation.
Prepare roadway plan sets per FDOT FDM and CAD standards.
Develop 3D roadway corridor models using OpenRoads Designer for visualization and documentation.
Perform earthwork calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
Develop MOT plans and pavement designs, and support design variations.
Coordinate roadway design with drainage, utilities, structures, traffic and environmental disciplines.
Prepare and manage technical design documentation and project specifications.
