Job summary

H&H in Florida seeks a Transportation Engineer to join our design team across Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, or Orlando. You will prepare and manage highway designs from concept to construction, applying solid engineering judgement and proactive problem solving.

Applicants should have four or more years of experience; a Professional Engineer license is preferred or obtainable within six months. OpenRoads experience is required, and U.S. work authorization is necessary.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of professional civil/ transportation engineering experience.
• PE license desired or obtainable within six months.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads design software.

Responsibilities

• Utilize 3D design to prepare roadway, drainage and TTC designs, calculations and drawings
• Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
• Prepare engineering reports
• Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers
• Serve as the Engineer-of-Record
• Responsible for task management
• Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies
• Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
• Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and positive behaviors
